okay, only two months late on an update. I’ve uploaded three comics for this week. Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
I’ve got more penciled, I just have to ink them. After finishing the Devil’s Panties strips. And working on some books…and merch… and stuff….
The prosthetic mask that I (dammit) wear is from Aradani Studios They’ve got a bunch of great masks.
Killits mask was ordered online. It’s the standard orc prosthetic.
The tusks come with the standard orc prosthetic kit but I originally got mine at Dental Distortions though now I can’t find the tusks there.
But you can find some pretty neat teeth by just doing a google search for “Fake Tusks” This Mask World seems to have some good stuff.
I use Kryolan red hair spray but any red hair spray will do. I do have the overwhelming desire to wash my hair after about 20 hours of having this in because it makes my hair feel crispy but really gets it frayed and standing out all crazylike. Which is a good thing if you’re playing a ravaging beast.
A cream or cake makeup is best for full body coverage. A stick form is easiest to apply. I grabbed Mehron Cream Blend Makeup from my local costume shop. I have been told that if you put some vaseline on before the makeup, it helps when you go to remove it. Handy wipes are your friend. You’ll want a colorset powder to put over the makeup so it doesn’t wipe off and a Barrier Spray over that to keep it from sweating off. Some people put the barrier spray on before the makeup to protect their skin from the pigment. I am crazy and I do squeeze my eyes shut and hold my breath and spray this in my face and then walk away from the miasma of pain and death before I start breathing again….you did not hear this from me. I do not recommend this…I’m just sayin’.
So, Geebas will never be dead but it does periodically slip into a mild coma. I switched servers and kinda broke it and never did get around to fixing it until Obby came along. So now I was able to post the four comics that I had drawn a year ago almost to the day. Now those have been posted and I’m off at the annual family beach trip and have not drawn the next update of Geebas. I have piles and piles of cartoon ideas. I’ve been going to The Castle once a year and just hanging around my friend Becca (who plays my Orc’s sister Kill It) is like idea diarrhea. But I have to sit down and draw them and I’m going to try and do that in the next three weeks before conventions hit again. I’ll be at San Diego then Otakon then Gen Con all in a row. Could be interesting.
ps; I haven’t fixed the black text on gray background yet. I do need to do that…soon ish

So, I fail at HTTP.
The stats on the site have shown about 3000 people per day coming in from geebasonparade.com. I thought: “Sweet!”.
Then I finally got some metrics going on geebasonparade.com and saw that almost all of the people that visit geebas go directly to thedevilspanties.com after visiting.
Then I remembered the part where Jennie had told me that a fan was asking when the April Fools joke would be over….
…The one where I redirected everyone from thedevilspanties.com to geebasonparade.com.
Then I felt like an idiot for not investigating deeper when Jennie first mentioned it to me.
So the short of it is that I should have used a 302(Temporary) redirect instead of a 301(Permanent). I usually do a 301 by default without issues. However with a site this popular there will always be some browsers and ISPs that will misbehave, or in this case behave 100% according to the RFC.
Unfortunately there is no easy way to fix this for everyone unless we issue another 301 redirect on geebasonparade.com to go back to thedevilspanties.com.
This is not something we want to do right now, but we will be forced to if the numbers don’t drop from the current 3000 redirected visitors in the next 2 weeks.
